Role Overview: A senior member of the Artex Capital Solutions (ACS) leadership team responsible for building a Cayman focused insurance linked securities (ILS) and commercial/reinsurance insurance management business. This role will be instrumental in helping design and build the ACS Cayman business strategy and be responsible for overseeing our client service team and all Cayman based client relationships. Responsibilities: • Lead and develop a Cayman focused team in the following areas: o Financial and insurance regulatory reporting services o Transaction operations • Collaborate with Client Service Directors (CSD) to evolve services and operations to align with market / client needs; • Contribute to the achievement of ACS Dominant Priorities and the strategic direction of the company and Cayman growth plan. • Perform a review function on complex client working paper files. • Contribute to the development and administration of ACS client service systems and procedures. • Follow all policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and Artex internal risk control standards, assisting the ACS Compliance Officer with remedial actions for any client related non-compliance occurrences. • Lead and develop an efficient team through effective delegation, communication, performance management, individual development plans and reward/recognition practices. • Provide mentoring, coaching, technical support and training to CSD’s. • Monitor staff performance, providing encouragement and training and motivation, and periodically review processes, procedures and staffing levels within assigned. • Provide technical training and support to Vice Presidents and Account Executives. • Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the Gallagher Way and Gallagher Behaviours. • Attend relevant conferences, seminars, participate in panel discussions and attend industry events. • Liaise with the Commercial Director to drive and develop business relationships and opportunities for ACS both locally and internationally. • Work closely and contribute to the ACS M&A strategy and pipeline regarding Cayman based opportunities. Business management responsibilities: • Contribute as a leader in the ACS Insurance Management team. • Facilitate potential regulator dialogue regarding the insurance regulatory landscape • Support Global SAA discussions and provide regular reports to the ACS Commercial Director on Insurance Management product expansion and revenue generating initiatives Personal attributes, knowledge and experience: • 10+ years of relevant experience in the reinsurance sector with a demonstrated track record in executing structured reinsurance, retroactive reinsurance or insurance risk securitization transactions, or an equivalent background. • 7+ years of demonstrable team management experience. • Proven leadership experience with managing, communicating, and driving organizational and operating model changes (change management); • ACA/ACCA/CPA/CA qualification or equivalent preferred. • Experience working with insurance regulators in either Bermuda, Cayman, Ireland or the United Kingdom would be advantageous. • Strong financial reporting and/or analytical skills. • Advanced computer literacy skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. • Ability to manage teams, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities. • Highly motivated individual who is deadline driven and committed to delivering an excellent level of client service. • Confident, strong communicator in a variety of settings including client board meetings (written and verbal) • Flexible enough to maintain high quality work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
