This is an exciting opportunity for a Cayman Islands Attorney with at least 9 years PQE gained as a Cayman Islands, UK, or other Common Law. Our Litigation team is involved in a broad spectrum of work including insolvency and restructuring, commercial litigation (with emphasis on shareholder disputes and property related issues), fraud, asset recovery, regulatory enforcement, trust disputes and alternative dispute resolution. This role will provide high quality legal input across all aspects of their client work including researching, writing opinions, reviewing documentation, drafting court documents, communicating with clients, counsel and the court and preparing cases for court. Alongside working with and delegating to paralegals in the team, there will be the expectation to appear in court both as the advocate on suitable applications and with senior lawyers and leading counsel as required. There will be a keen focus on assisting with the business development initiatives of the litigation team as a whole in the Cayman Islands and across our jurisdictions. The right candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organization skills and time management, the ability to use initiative to resolve issues and to work independently with an appropriate level of supervision. With excellent written and verbal English skills, a high level of IT proficiency, a strong sense of commercial awareness and a solution orientated approach.
