We are looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions, and installing and maintaining generators. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems both commercial and residential. Responsibilities • Laying out, assembling, installing, repairing, maintaining, connecting, and testing electrical systems • Planning installations from blueprints, sketches, and specifications • Measuring, cutting, threading, bending, assembling, and installing conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures • Splicing and terminating electrical conductors • Generator installation and maintenance • Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems • Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.) • Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements • Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction • Train and mentor apprentices Requirements • 8+ years of proven electrical experience • Diploma(s) in relevant vocational training • Cayman Islands Electrician License Card • Fluent in speaking English • Ability to proficiently write and read in English when dealing with customers • Thorough knowledge of MS Office and Electrical CAD programs • Experience installation and maintenance of generators • Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability • Valid drivers license
