This position will oversee our two Nursery/Greenhouse operations and reports directly to the Owners. This is NOT an entry-level position as it requires extensive plant knowledge, previous experience in the nursery industry, and a formal education in Horticulture. This position will also involve working closely with other team members - implementing and streamlining procedures; guiding product orders, work flow and propagation; increasing efficiency, output, and production; and supervising all other operations as related to our plant nurseries and greenhouses. This position will be expected to facilitate regular and ongoing meetings with staff, as well as owners. He/she will also be required to continuously review and analyze procedures, performance, equipment, and products such to continuously maintain the highest level of quality control possible. Qualifications -A formal education in Horticulture - with established degree or certification. - Previous experience in the nursery/greenhouse industry a must. -Extensive knowledge of and experience with plants, fertilizers, and chemicals is required. -Valid driver’s license, as ability to travel between locations is essential. -Clean Police Clearance certificate -Excellent organizational and people skills. -Proficiency with POS systems, QuickBooks, and all typical Microsoft Office programs -Willingness to work weekends and some Sundays is essential.
