Teacher Assistant First Baptist Christian School is recruiting committed Christian Teacher Assistants for various grade levels. Applicants must have an Associates degree or the equivalent, be Caymanian, or be eligible to obtain a work permit. Applicants with 2 years’ experience preferred and employees must also be able to subscribe to the Statement of Faith of First Baptist Church. Job Description MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This job description describes in general terms the normal duties which the post-holder is expected to undertake. • Supervise students in various settings, including during snack or lunch time and on the playground • Provide support to individuals or small groups within the class. • Assist in the presentation of displays of students’ work. • Assist with photocopying and preparation of materials for lessons. • Be proactive in matters relating to health and safety, both in the classroom and outside. • Carry out any tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the class, such as working with the teacher to ensure that all necessary resources for lessons are prepared and ready. • Assist students in following the rules of the classroom as well as general school rules. • Attend scheduled staff meetings, professional development and training sessions as directed. The salary range is between CI$37,000.00 – CI$45, 000.00 and is determined by the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
