Key Responsibilities: Technical Drawing & Documentation: Produce high-quality technical drawings, plans, and detailed schematics for various project phases using CAD and BIM software. Prepare and revise construction documents, including specifications, blueprints, and architectural drawings. Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and project feasibility. Assist in coordinating project details with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth execution and delivery. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs and construction documents comply with Cayman Islands building codes, regulations, and AE Designs' standards. Conduct regular reviews to maintain quality control and adherence to technical specifications. Site Visits & Inspections: Participate in site visits to monitor progress, verify that construction aligns with design specifications, and resolve any on-site issues. Provide technical support during the construction phase and contribute to problem-solving efforts. Sustainable Design Practices: Integrate sustainable design principles into technical drawings and project planning. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in sustainable architecture and construction. Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, present design solutions, and incorporate feedback into project development. Assist in the preparation of client presentations and project proposals. Qualifications & Skills: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field. Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an architectural or design firm, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency and design capabilities. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit) and BIM software. Familiarity with 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Rhino, etc.) and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. Knowledge of Building Codes: Thorough understanding of local building codes, regulations, and standards specific to the Cayman Islands. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve technical challenges creatively and efficiently. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and technical details to diverse audiences. Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
