Purpose of the role The role will lead the development of Ogier Global's Debt Capital Market's team in Cayman Islands and work with the global service line across the group. The successful candidate will be client centric and possess practical experience in the administration of SPVs involved debt capital market transactions, including all forms of securitisations and aviation leasing structures. Key Responsibilities • Recruit, lead and manage the Debt Capital Market team in Cayman, ensuring each team member is aligned to the client service and system focus of the OGL strategy; • Serve as director for Cayman SPVs in securitisation transactions and actively attend to the obligations of the SPVs; • Review and sign-off on legal and transaction documents in accordance with local procedure and internal policies as required; • Regular review of changing market requirements, regulation and service levels, and implement changes to strategy accordingly. Contribute to global product/market development and group strategy; • Work closely with our knowledge management team to develop and maintain agreements, templates and policies and procedures as required; • Deliver agreed standards of client service and monitoring performance on a regular basis; • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and intermediaries, including transaction lawyers, arranging banks, investment managers, and other transaction parties; • Along with the law firm and Business Development team, undertake business development activities, including identifying opportunities to cross sell Ogier's legal offering and wider governance and corporate services; • Work closely with the service line head to develop and deliver the service line strategy; • Work closely with the partners in the law firm to implement the go to market strategy; • Support Ogier's 'One Best Way' ethos across the team through rigorous process analysis to drive alignment and consistency; • Ensure understanding by the global team and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures; • Review client invoicing and responsible for timely collection of outstanding invoices. Define and lead clear operational service standards through implementation of data led SLAs and KPIs; • Support the identification and implementation of technology to underpin delivery of the 'Ogier standard' of client service including the core system and utilising existing technology such as client portals, automated documentation and e-signatures; • Assist with any ad hoc requests as required. Qualifications and Experience • A minimum 9+ years’ of experience in debt capital markets/structured finance; • Loan agency services and/or aviation financing services experience is beneficial but not essential; • Solid knowledge and experience in handling securitisation transactions; • Strong understanding of the Irish financial industry, regulatory landscape and global debt capital market/ structured finance market; • Commitment to high standards of client service based on understanding needs and delivering solutions; • Excellent management and influencing skills.
