Driver/Tour Guide is a very straightforward position. The applicant will be a driver/tour guide and will be required to do transfers and tours where they inform guests about the Island and its history when doing the tour. Training is provided by our Company and a friendly, well-groomed person with an outgoing personality is a must as you will be face to face with tourists daily. Applicant will be picking up guests and transporting them to and from the airport and also transporting guests to other locations on the Island such as attractions and restaurants. Applicants will also have to tour guests coming off of the cruise ships. Qualifications: Have held a valid driver's license for at least 5 years in the category of vehicle being hired to drive. Successful applicants should know the island and its attractions. Have a valid CI Group 3 or 4 driver's license. Successful applicants will have to make an application through our company to the Public Transport Board (PTB) to be able to drive a tour bus. The PTB application process includes a fitness to drive medical exam with a drug test, police & traffic records, and proof of Valid CI Group 3 or greater driver's license. There is also a written exam as part of the PTB application. Before taking the exam, the applicant will receive study material which has all of the island information in it to sit the general knowledge exam. This process will be explained in more detail to the applicant during the interview. Applicant must be healthy enough to lift up to 50 lbs. (guest luggage).
