What is the opportunity? The Investment Advisor Associate will support a successful Investment Advisory business by providing clients with exceptional service in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. What will you do? Client Service Plan Execution Help the Investment Advisor (IA) build and execute on business plans, client segmentation, and client service plans Identify opportunities among existing client base for asset consolidation, referrals, conversion to fee, etc. Update client info in the team's contact management system. Maintain a record of client details, interactions, meeting notes, and identified opportunities for follow up Coordinate meetings and events for the IA with clients and prospects -help establish meeting agenda; assemble documents, key notes, and discussion points for advisory team; execute post­ meeting work or ensure it is delegated to the appropriate person Participate in client meetings as directed by IA Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary Assist the IA with client onboarding Trading and Portfolio Rebalancing Review open orders and portfolios regularly; re-balance portfolios with guidance from the IA and manage TAC sheets, risk dashboard, bulk trading, IPS (new and updates), etc. Execute on trades as directed by IA and follow-up on orders to ensure proper settlement and delivery Review daily activity reports and process any necessary corrections and actions Make recommendations and execute portfolio changes as advised by the IA; track positions held; identify buy/ sell opportunities; manage positions to be in line with investment models Account Administration Respond to general client inquiries (account transactions, requests for documents, account reporting, etc.) and remain accountable to follow up as required until resolution Responsible for account opening of new and existing clients Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients'. Manage timelines and key dates for account reviews, monitor maturing issues, re-orgs, dividends, interest payments, credit/debit balances, fees, etc. Liaise with back office as appropriate to ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal policies, internal controls, and industry regulatory requirements for all accounts (i.e. Pending KYCs, FATCA, CRS,W8~BEN, etc.) Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems Proactively contact clients to ensure accounts are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant Ensure all PIM quarterly reporting and annual reviews are accurate and documented on appropriate system What do you need to succeed? Must Have Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, Derivatives Fundamentals and Options qualifications or equivalent trading qualifications CFA or CFA candidate preferred 5+ years’ experience in international financial services Relevant university degree(s) Willingness to engage in continuing education Relating and applying the relevant Caribbean Anti-Money Laundering regulations to the financial services business Effectively managing account opening in a complex, high net worth private client environment; maintaining a working knowledge of relevant documentation involved with complex corporate structures, foundations, and trusts Operating in a strict internal control environment that is responsible for day to day operations Ability to work independently and responsibly Efficient multi-tasking capabilities in a high pace, time sensitive and demanding environment Effective in managing shifting priorities in order to meet the team's objectives and deliver optimal customer service and results Ability to be resourceful and take the initiative to get the job done Proactive in dealing with new procedures/ initiatives and in identifying and resolving issues Excellent verbal and written communication skills Responsible for participating in and adding to a positive working environment that relies on team work and a mature attitude
