The Director will support the Governance Services business and be accountable for the operations and services standards, whilst creating strong, profitable and personal relationships with clients and service providers within the digital asset space. Working closely with the Founder and other Directors, the candidate is expected to: • be actively involved in new business development, constantly seeking out relationships that enrich Marfire’s knowledge and experience in the industry; • be a thought-leader within the Digital Assets space, showing an active curiosity and passion for the work that we do and the value that we create; and • uphold Marfire’s core values by promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork and leadership. Main responsibilities • Acting as a director, with a particular focus on the Digital Assets space such as crypto fund structures, operating companies and DAO structures. • In depth analysis of potential Digital Asset projects and Digital Asset fund vehicles to assess risk • profiles. • Review of contractual documentation from a legal perspective. • Working with the Founder and wider team to develop new business for Marfire, including participation in client meetings, client calls and potential business travel. • Ensuring the team in the Cayman Islands delivers on client mandates and deadlines. • Producing fee proposals for client service enquiries. • Taking ownership for client onboarding, ensuring all due diligence and KYC procedures are adhered to at the highest standard of compliance. • Producing monthly reports, articles and presentations as required. • Participating in board meetings and adhering to responsibilities as a director, at the highest standard of care and in accordance with the policies and procedures of Marfire. • Keeping the team abreast of significant matters that may arise within the Digital Asset space as well as keeping an eye on movements in Digital Asset markets. • Maintain excellent working relationships with all service providers within the financial services industry. Qualifications and Experience • Due to the in-depth legal knowledge required to perform this role, a legal background with at least 10 years PQE is required. • At least 18 months’ demonstrable experience working in the Digital Asset space is critical. • At least 18 months’ experience with Cayman specific Digital Asset regulations is a major benefit. • Demonstrable experience with preparing and delivering presentations and working directly with clients and service providers is required.
