Cayridge Trading Company T/A Friend Ship is a gift and souvenir retail boutique and wholesale distribution business with five (5) business store locations providing a pleasant retail establishment with, trendy, yet inexpensive gift items at competitive prices to customers and retailers in the Cayman Islands. The client is looking for an experienced Cashier/Salesperson who will be responsible for the following: • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. • Assess customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product features. • Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. • “Go the extra mile” to drive sales. • Merchandise the products in a presentable way, including creating window displays monthly. • Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options. • Process POS (point of sale) purchases. • Cross sell products • Handle returns of merchandise. • Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service. • Build productive trust relationships with customers. • Comply with inventory control procedures and maintain in-stock presentable condition to assigned areas. • Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store display) Qualifications: • Salesperson skills with a minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as a retail sales associate, sales representative, or similar role. • Working knowledge of customer, market dynamics and requirements to close sales effectively. • Track record of over-achieving sales quota • Hands-on experience with POS transactions • Familiarity with inventory procedures • Proficient in English with basic Math skills • Solid communication and interpersonal skills and a friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner. • Availability to work - flexible shifts including weekends. • High school degree: BA degree in Marketing or related field would be a plus.
