Using My eGov

 

Accessing Online Government Services

My eGov is your portal to online government services, such as accessing an online service offered by the Cayman Islands Government.  Before using an online service, be on the lookout for specific terms and conditions that also apply.
 

Linking To The Website

Linking to My eGov is welcomed and encouraged. Permission is not required to link directly to pages hosted on this site. However, pages must not be loaded into frames on your site. My eGov pages must load into the user's entire window.
You must ask for permission to:  

• charge your website’s users to click on a link to any My eGov page

• say your website is associated with or endorsed by My eGov 

 

Linking To Third Party Websites

My eGov will have links to websites that are owned and managed by other government ministries, departments, statutory authorities, government-owned companies, service providers or other organisations. The Cayman Islands Government is not responsible for the contents or reliability of linked websites. Listing should not be taken as endorsement of any kind since we do not have any control over the content on other websites.  You agree to release the Cayman Islands Government from any claims or disputes that may come from using or the inability to use these sites. Please be aware of the terms and conditions, privacy and other such policies that apply to these websites.
 

Virus Protection

We make every effort to check and test material on My eGov. It is always wise for you to run an anti-virus programme on all material downloaded from the Internet. The Cayman Islands Government is not responsible for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system which may occur whilst using My eGov and materials derived from it.
 

Viruses, Hacking And Other Offences

You must not attack My eGov in any way. You must not introduce malicious or technologically harmful material. This includes viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs, and others.  You must not try to obtain unauthorised access to My eGov its servers and other devices connected to it.  Any attacks or attempts to gain unauthorised access to My eGov will be reported to relevant enforcement authorities along with any information we have about you.
 

Using My eGov Content

Material on this site is subject to copyright protection unless otherwise indicated.  The material may be downloaded to file or printer without requiring specific prior permission. Any other proposed use of the material is subject to approval.  The permission to reproduce copyright protected material does not extend to any material on this site that is identified as being the copyright of a third party. Authorisation to reproduce such material must be obtained from the copyright holders concerned.

My eGov and material relating to Government information, products and services (or to third party information, products, and services), is provided 'as is', without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind.
We do not guarantee that material on this site will be:

• accurate, current and error-free

• free of viruses or other malware

• complete and functioning fully

In no event will we be liable for any loss or damage that may come from using or the inability to use My eGov and any websites that are linked to or from it.  You agree to release the Cayman Islands Government from any claims or disputes that may come from using or the inability to use My eGov.
 

Information About You And Your My eGov Visits

Collection of your information is done in accordance with our privacy notice and our cookie policy. By using My eGov, you are providing consent for us to collect this information. You also confirm that any data you provide is accurate.
 

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Cayman Islands.  Any dispute you have which relates to these terms and conditions, or your use of My eGov will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Cayman Islands.
 

General

Apart from these terms and conditions, there may be other legal notices on My eGov.  We are not liable for failure to comply with these terms and conditions because of circumstances beyond our control.  We have the option not to exercise or enforce any right available to us under these terms and conditions. We might decide to exercise or enforce that right at a later date. Doing so does not mean we are waiving the right automatically on any other occasion.  If any of these terms and conditions are held to be invalid, illegal, unenforceable or void for any reason, the remainder of the terms and conditions set out above still apply.
