WORC Online Services & Temporary Payment Arrangements

As the existing JobsCayman online portal goes offline,  a site offering reduced online services will be available on 3 June. This site is temporary and will allow the final developing and testing of the new WORC Jobs & Online Payment  Services which is anticipated to launch on 18 June 2024.

The temporary site will have the following key functionalities:

  • Employers can continue to post job advertisements on worc.ky, and
  • Job-seekers can still search and apply for jobs on worc.ky.

However, payments must be made in-person. Customers submitting three (3) or more applications are encouraged to utilize the corporate drop bag to reduce wait times. Customer Care Officers will be on hand to review documents and ensure drop off is handled as efficiently as possible.

Passport Endorsement Stamps for Immediate Travel

WORC requests that during this time of transition only persons with immediate travel plans who want to secure a passport endorsement stamp to do so within ten (10) days before travelling. This measure will assist WORC in managing the high demand of this service as the summer approaches and persons travel plans increase. Persons are also reminded that a valid permit license can also be used as a travel document.

WORC appreciates your understanding and cooperation as these changes commence to enhance our service delivery. The office number remains the same at 945-9672, toll free 1-800-534-9672 or email WORC@gov.ky. For further updates on these changes visit worc.ky or follow on Facebook and Instagram.

Government Reshapes Business Staffing Plan Board

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, 9 April 2026 – The Ministry of Caymanian Employment and Immigration announces the repositioning of the Business Staffing Plan (BSP) Board, to refocus its purpose towards issues that matter most to Caymanians: employment, career advancement, and reducing underemployment across the workforce.

This shift reflects the Government's commitment to building a workforce system that delivers tangible results for Caymanians and goes beyond processing applications. New BSP Board appointments will concentrate its expertise on providing a more strategic direction which includes reviewing and strengthening employer staffing plans and developing a modern employer accreditation framework, with the goal of connecting Caymanians with quality employment opportunities.

Hon. Michael Myles, MP, states, “This evolution of the BSP Board is about results. We are putting the Board’s energy where it has the greatest impact: ensuring that employers are genuine partners in developing and promoting Caymanian talent, and that every Caymanian who wants to work has a real path to meaningful growth and employment.”

What changes is the level of strategic attention directed toward Caymanian employment outcomes. With the Board freed from routine permit processing, its focus shifts to diagnosing and addressing the structural factors that contribute to Caymanian underemployment and unemployment, and to designing an accreditation and staffing plan system that produces real, measurable progress.

Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman (WORC) assures employers and business stakeholders that work permit services will continue uninterrupted. Additional staff resources have been on-boarded and assigned specifically to Business Staffing Plan applications, ensuring that employers do not experience delays during the Board’s transition.

The Ministry extends it sincere gratitude to BSP Board members as their tenure concludes, recognising their dedicated service and significant contributions. Their work in administering the Business Staffing Plan framework over the past few years has been invaluable.

New BSP Board appointments will be announced in the coming weeks.
