Support - My eID
No. The Government does not track your activities through My eID.
It does not know when or where you physically present your ID card, and it does not know if you have signed documents using your digital certificate.
When you authenticate using eServices Sign In, a log is recorded for security and audit purposes. This helps protect the system and maintain an audit trail. Access to these logs is restricted to authorised system administrators and only where there is an operational or legal basis.
Similarly, a log is kept of access to view or update your information in My Info. This is for security and audit purposes and is visible to you. You can view access to your data by signing in at https://myeid.egov.ky, selecting View My Info, then Accesses to My Info.
Yes. While we do not recommend this, if you are in urgent need of the ID and the immigration status is not critical in the short term, we can process your request however it won’t include your immigration status as “Caymanian”. Once your status record is resolved you could then get a new card with your immigration status.
Yes. My eID can be used as official proof of your Cayman immigration status where it is printed on the card.

Yes. You can use My eID to sign PDF documents with the digital signature certificate stored on your card, using your PIN for consent. Digital signing is available through the My eID mobile app (iOS and Android) and through desktop software for PC or Mac when used with Adobe.
